Technical Committee

The Technical Committee meets quarterly to develop the CPA’s policies and responses regarding the major technical issues facing our members and the wider industry. Its aim is to help the CPA develop effective, coherent UK and EU legislation and building and product regulations and standards, whilst interpreting these for the benefit of our members’ businesses. Other major areas of attention include digitalisation of the industry, the energy efficiency of homes and buildings, market surveillance and policing, CE marking and the Construction Products Regulation. With the experience of mid-level and senior executives from both companies and trade associations, the Technical Committee provides expert policy and technical advice through consultations with government, regulators, certification bodies and research communities.
