In 2022 the European Commission proposed regulation to repeal the previous EU Construction Products Regulation (EU-CPR 2011) as part of a package of proposals aimed at making sustainable construction products the norm in the EU, empowering the green and digital transitions, and improving product safety. The newly revised EU-CPR was agreed by the European Parliament in April 2024. This CPA briefing paper examines the differences between the old and new EU-CPR, particularly with the impact on manufacturers in mind.
